Creating a Subscription on behalf of a customer

Modified on Thu, 23 Jul at 10:18 PM

You can create a Subscription for a customer yourself, rather than waiting for them to subscribe. This is useful when you already hold the customer's details, or when you're moving customers from paper to digital without asking them to self-register.

A Subscription you create this way is a manual email subscription. There's no email verification step, so enter the details carefully, especially the email address, since a wrong address won't be confirmed before documents are sent. You can create Subscriptions on a customer's behalf for any channel except BPAY View.

To create a Subscription

  1. Go to the Subscriptions tab in your Payreq Delivery console.
  2. Select Create Subscription.

Create Subscription button on the Subscriptions tab

  1. Enter the required details:
    • Account number
    • Customer email address
    • Contact name
    • Customer name as it appears on the bill
    • Notice ID
  2. Select +Create.

Create Subscription form with the customer details

The customer will begin receiving their documents as PDF attachments at the email address you entered.

For the other ways a Subscription can come to exist, see How are Subscriptions created?. For how manual email compares with the other subscription types, see Subscription channels: what's available in Payreq Delivery.
